Now Accredited in The 360 Emergence
Brisbane Practitioner of The 360 Emergence
With great excitement and the deepest gratitude, I am thrilled to share that I am now an Accredited Facilitator of The 360 Emergence.
The 360 Emergence is an embodiment practice that taps into the evolutionary art of movement. Through curated sonic journeys and dance laboratories, we uncover a movement map for growth, experimentation, discovery, healing and actualisation. Crucially, in my Apprenticeship journey and thesis exploration, I have found The 360 Emergence to be a potent tool for leadership transformation.
Admittedly, some may be challenged by the idea of bridging dance and leadership development. For others, the union may be intuitive.
In the spirit of shaking off our shackles and activating change, I invite the curious to walk with me for a moment…
As a creative provocateur of transformative change, I am no stranger to the power of embodiment.
Sometimes, our body is the quickest route to the great unlock. This is why I invite leaders to dance at the razor’s edge between what is, and what could be. To boldly leap into the unknown - for it is there we create change.
Is it such a leap, then, to think that dance could be a vital tool for leading change?
This question became my Apprenticeship exploration, which has taken me on my own life-changing, heart-overflowing, and spirit-strengthening journey of evolution.
Through the deserts of Joshua Tree, tracing The 360 movement map and soaking in the wisdom of my fellow apprentices and vibrant leaders Amber Ryan, Kate Shela and Tracee Stanley. In dark rooms where we danced at dawn, illuminated only by computer screen light and the restorative glow that comes from meaningful movement and connection. Into dance laboratories on Meanjin soil with a small band of brave leaders, where we remixed modern leadership development practices with the wisdom and innovation of The 360 Emergence. And in those moments of stillness, where reflection and introspection gave birth to insight and new ideas.
Throughout this journey, I have witnessed the power and artistry of evolutionary movement in leadership development.
Through intentional movement practices, we can bypass or shake up the systems designed to keep us safe, but also keep us stuck in times of change and uncertainty. Only then can we activate states more suited to adaptation, growth and innovation.
It is in this adaptive capacity that I see The 360 Emergence having the most potent application for leaders of today.
By combining The 360 movement map with the latest in adult development and adaptive leadership, we can develop new ways of being, thinking, feeling, acting, and leading. We can replenish our inner wellsprings and sustain energy and momentum. We can develop greater awareness to connect with and support each other. We can bounce off new beats, innovate in the moment and work with the energy of the environments we face, rather than tire ourselves out in ceaseless battles of resistance and stagnation.
This is an exciting, emerging area of leadership development.
Insights into the adaptive potential of The 360 Emergence expand with every group of leaders who elect to take the leap. Together, we're illuminating a pathway, or perhaps a dance floor, for future leaders to traverse.
Over the coming months, I will be unveiling some of my findings from my work with leaders in this area, as well as my thesis exploration: Illuminating the power of disequilibrium in leadership transformation: A 360 view.
